Executive Director of Training

Ken Cloud is a native of Atlanta who joined the United States Army in 1981, directly after completing high school. While in the Army he successfully completed training as a Power Generation Mechanic and was awarded a citation from the 101st Airborne Air Assault Division at Ft. Campbell Ky for his initiative and dedication to effectively and consistently training soldiers for exceptional equipment readiness.


Mr. Cloud Army career landed him overseas with the 59th Ord Brigade Miesau W.Germany where he was again awarded the Good Conduct and Overseas Medal for his exemplary service in the Nuclear Weapon Personnel Reliability Program (PRP).


Blue Seal Certified

Upon receiving an honorable discharge from the Army, Mr. Cloud returned to his hometown and went to work for the City of Atlanta Motor Transportation. He worked as an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Blue Seal Certified Automobile and Heavy Truck Mechanic. His responsibilities required him to ensure the safe and proper function of law enforcement, fire and other emergency vehicles. Thereafter, he served as an Inspector, working and training personnel in the Engineering Department.


In 1992 Mr. Cloud obtained his CDL and began his entrepreneurial career as a contractor for Triple A Auto Club South. However, when the 1996 Olympics Games was contracted for Atlanta, the City recruited him to assist in the design and implementation of the emergence break down for bus transportation operations at MARTA.



25 Years Experience

Following this massive undertaking, Mr. Cloud return to his passion for the road and for training as an over-the-road truck driver and CDL instructor. He has driven and trained students in all 48 contiguous states for companies like Schneider, FedEx, Transport America and Marten Transportation. In 2012, Mr. Cloud accepted a position as a CDL Instructor for the Technical College Systems of Georgia where he eventually matriculated to the role of Department Chair over the Atlanta Technical College (ATC).


As Chair he assumed complete control of the ATC CDL and Supply Logistics Programs and produced some of the largest CDL graduation classes ever at the college. Once again, Mr. Cloud championed initiatives to help design, development and implementation the first online CDL program at ATC.


Concurrently, Mr. Cloud dedicated his leadership and influence to work with the Atlanta Urban League and the Atlanta Workforce Development Prison Reentry Program to help qualified offenders receive their CDL to obtain gainful employment and become contributing members of society.

In 2016, MARTA snatched him up for their Learning and Development Department where he has trained hundreds of men and women who now operate the city’s commercial transportation vehicles.


In 2018, Mr. Cloud joined his 25 years of experience with the NMTA to launch a CDL Driving Academy. Today KBC CDL Driver Training Program is now up and running Online. KBC dedicates its cumulative efforts, experience, passions, talents and resources to providing exceptional service and support to every student.
